1. If you're working on Mac you might already have it, but you can download and install the latest version of git here: Git downloads page


2. Create an account on BitBucket if you don't have one. (Hot tip: if you use your .ac.uk student email to create an account you will automatically be put onto an academic plan with extra storage and unlimited users)
